- M∞ Template N&NW and M∞ Template N&NW.p
- This is a Bryce 2 Template Scene file (and its corresponding rendered pict)
- that you can use as a starting point for creating new textures. This template
- has two lights, one angled from the North and one from the North West. This
- creates a nice two-shadowed effect. This is the template used to create all
- of the example textures in the TexRay Workbench, excluding the Wall Metal Inset
- texture.
-
- M∞ Template N&NW Adjustment
- This is a pict that is used to remove the slight unwanted lighting changes due to the light
- inverse square law. You use this pict by pulling it into Photoshop and converting it to
- Lab mode and selecting the Lightness channel. You then pull in the texture you want to
- adjust, convert that texture to Lab mode and select its Lightness channel, and then
- select the Apply Image... entry from the Image menu. In that menu select the
- Adjustment pict as the one to apply and set the mode to Add and then press Ok.
-
- M∞ Template N&W and M∞ Template N&W.p
- This is a new template that can be used to create good specular highlight effects in a
- texture. It differs from the N&NW template in that it has two lights, one angled from the
- North and one from the West. Also, these two lights have their diffuse component set to
- 0 so that the light they produce is sharply defined. The lights also are set at the same
- level. I am not yet convinced that this is the best template to use for creating both
- specular highlight effects and good shadow effects. Nonetheless it is the template that
- has been used to create the Wall Metal Inset texture and seems to work pretty well for
- textures of that sort.
-
- M∞ Template N&W Adjustment
- This is the corresponding adjustment pict for the N&W template.
